Autumn foliage adds color to Cuihu Lake’s surroundings and Daguan Park, making this a superb season for photography and relaxed sightseeing. By November, the dry season kicks in fully — visibility is at its peak, tourist crowds thin out, and flights and accommodation prices drop 15–25% compared to peak season.
Summer (June–September) is best avoided if outdoor trekking or day trips to natural areas are on your itinerary.
