St Giles Southkey Johor Bahru is located inside The Mall, Mid Valley Southkey Mall. It is connected with mall, and the hotel also has its own gate and lobby.
The hotel is a 15-minute drive from JB Sentral and a 17-minute drive from Larkin Sentral (bus terminal)
The room we booked is “Urban Twin” room, which is the cheapest room. The room is well equipped with everything you would expect from a four-star hotel.
The floor was carpeted, but it was well cleaned, and there was no strange smell.
The bed is well-prepared with crisp linen and has two pillows. Next to the bed, there are reading lights, respectively.
The desk, which has a large mirror and can be used as a dressing table. It is comfortable, so you can do simple tasks. It has a multi-outlet, so there is no problem using electronics without an adapter.
Samsung smart TVs are installed, so you can easily watch Netflix or YouTube.
It has an electric kettle and is ready, but no water is provided. You should use the bottle provided to get water directly from the water purifier in the hallway. The bottle is marked as disinfected and has a seal, but it’s wet inside so I didn’t use it.
There is a mart in the basement of The Mall, so you can easily buy mineral water.
The closet has a shower robe, a safe, and a scale.
The bathroom is also cleanly prepared.
Amenities only come with toothbrushes, cotton swabs, and shower caps, but you can request additional products you need.
Two large towels are prepared.
They provide multi-use shampoo and body wash.
There is a sofa by the window, so you can sit and enjoy the scenery outside the window.

The pool is small, but it has a wonderful sunset view.
The fitness center is large.
There are several equipment and not many users, so you can exercise comfortably.
The view of Johor Baru from the fitness center is stunning.
The breakfast restaurant is spacious. But it is also crowded at certain times.
Western and Malaysian meals are not bad.
